Posting anonymously allows you to share your thoughts and experiences without linking the post directly to your profile. This can help you feel more comfortable opening up while still being part of the community.
When you choose to post anonymously:
- Your post is not connected to your profile for other users
- An anonymous profile picture is shown instead of your usual one
- The same anonymity applies to any comments you make on that post
- Your anonymous posts are still visible in your post history, but only to you
This gives you a private way to express yourself while staying in control of your identity.
While your identity is hidden from other members, TalkLife Administrators can still see anonymous posts and comments. This is to help prevent misuse and ensure the community remains safe. Your personal information will not be disclosed to others.
To create an anonymous post:
- Open the app and tap the [+] button to start a new post
- Tap the settings icon in the top right corner
- Toggle ON “Post Anonymously” and select “Save Post Options”
- Write your post
- (Optional) Select a mood that reflects how you’re feeling
- Tap the arrow icon to continue
- Choose a post category. Your post will then be published.
