What messaging settings are available to me?
You have full control over how messaging works in the app, allowing you to decide who can contact you and how you send messages. These settings are designed to give you flexibility and privacy based on your preferences.
You can access these anytime by going to Settings → Messaging Settings. Below is a guide to the options available.
Can I turn messaging on or off completely?
Yes, you can choose to enable or disable messaging entirely. If you turn messaging off, you will not be able to send or receive any messages within the app.
Can I limit who can send me messages?
Yes, you can restrict messaging to a more controlled group. By enabling following-only mode, only users you follow will be able to send you messages. This helps you avoid messages from people outside your network.
Can I stop new conversations from being started?
Yes, you can turn off new conversations. When this setting is enabled, other users will not be able to initiate a conversation with you. However, you can still start conversations with others if you choose to.
What is the “Enter to Send” feature?
The “Enter to Send” feature controls what happens when you press the enter key while writing a message.
If this feature is turned on, pressing the enter key will send your message instantly. If it is turned off, pressing enter will simply move your cursor to a new line, allowing you to format longer messages. In this case, you will need to tap or click the send button to send your message.
Where can I find these settings?
To update your messaging preferences, go to the app’s sidebar and open Settings. From there, navigate to Messaging Settings, where all of these options are available.
