What is a Hero subscription?
In a world that can get dark, Heroes keep the TalkLife lights on. A Hero subscription is our way of giving back to the community while unlocking a wide range of premium features. Every contribution made by Heroes goes directly into supporting and growing this space—and as a thank you, you receive a collection of exciting Hero perks to enhance your experience.
What perks do Heroes get?
Hero subscriptions come with a variety of benefits designed to help you connect, express yourself, and stand out on the platform. Each month, you receive 10 Post Boosts to promote a post of your choice for up to four hours at a time, helping them reach more people. You also get 15 Post Illuminations, allowing you to highlight posts you love with a sparkly visual effect so they stand out across feeds.
You’ll receive 5 Appreciation Posts per month, giving you a more expressive way to recognize and celebrate others with enhanced visibility. Heroes also unlock all emotion sets, including limited editions, and can favorite an unlimited number of them—ensuring your favorite reactions are always available even if they rotate out.
Additional perks include 2 poll posts per month, the ability to upload up to 24 photos on your profile, and full access to all greeting cards including /limited edition ones. You can fully customize your profile with wallpapers and covers, use all post highlights (including locked and limited editions), and even add a song to your profile that you can update anytime.
Heroes can also create posts that auto-delete after 24, 48, or 72 hours, customize post reactions beyond the default options, and set a personal status visible across your profile and activity. You’ll have access to all sticker sets for messaging and comments, and the ability to schedule posts in advance—perfect for staying consistent and expressive on your own terms.
How much does it cost?
Hero subscription pricing is displayed directly within the app. To view it, simply open the sidebar and navigate to “Hero Perks,” where you’ll find full details on pricing and features.

How do I cancel my subscription?
If you’re using an Apple device, open the Settings app, tap your name (Apple ID) at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Select the subscription you want to cancel, tap “Cancel Subscription” (or “Cancel Free Trial”), and confirm. If you don’t see a cancel option, it usually means the subscription has already been canceled and will expire on the date shown.
If you’re using an Android device or Google account, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon in the top right corner, then go to Payments & Subscriptions and select Subscriptions. Choose the subscription you want to cancel, tap “Cancel Subscription,” and follow the prompts.
